Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Reporting to: Managing Director
Location: Sterling Event Group, Unit 1B Ringway Trading Estate, Manchester M22 5LH.

Sterling Event Group are one of the North West’s leading event production and rental companies supplying a wide range of products and services to both the corporate and private events sectors mainly in the UK but also overseas. Our stock includes Sound, Lighting, Vision, Rigging, Staging and Set, LED Starcloths, Drapes and LED Dance floors.
As part of our continuing expansion plans we have the opportunity for a warehouse manager to join our team. The successful applicant will have similar warehouse experience or will have previous experience as a technician.
Duties:
- Liaising with project managers and forward planning
- Managing a small team of warehouse personnel
- Organising warehouse procedures and day to day logistics
- Preparation of equipment for productions and dry hires to the highest standard
- Checking in equipment returned from hire
- Scheduling service, maintenance and repair of equipment (including organising sending equipment away for specialist / complex repairs)
- Stock management using our Rental Point stock management software
- Loading /Unloading of vans and trucks
- Regular inspections of company vehicles and forklift truck and organising service as required
- Occasional deliveries / collections (Full UK driving license required)
Required Skills:
- Previous experience in the AV, sound and lighting industry
- Excellent organisation and delegation skills
- IT and communication skills essential
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve and to work to deadlines
- High self-motivation and the ability to lead by example
- Flexibility and a can do attitude
- Full UK Driving License
- Forklift Truck License an advantage but not essential
Working Hours
Standard working hours would be 08.30 till 17.00 Monday to Friday however during busy periods the successful candidate may be required to work at weekend or occasionally nightshifts to turn equipment round from event to event.
